The task for the PCC-1 is the calculation of the ink demand in every ink zone of every printing press unit. This is achieved by loading the job preview from a RIP file or from the imposition program/software. This is a perfect alternative for the presses not equipped with the CIP3/CIP4 interface.

The data about the color density of the color bar, obtained in a scan by the PCC-2 allows the PCC-1 software to calculate and suggest the press operator the necessary increases or decreases of ink amounts in individual sectors. Achieving the desired desired effect becomes much easier. ​
